Buy My Domains!

Hey I am laying on my sofa right now. I just watched this B Level horror flick The Perfect Wtiness. It was pretty good. Anyhow I am looking at all the domains I own and I really am doing nothing with more than half of them esp now that I Am Speaking is starting to take off. IF you are looking for a few aged domains I am willing to sell the names for any reasonable offer. Below are the list of domains. I am selling the domain only I will disband the site it is linked to after the domian is tranfered. Here are the list of domain names I would like to get rid of.

thehookupboard.com

gotlinkz.com

writersoffiction.com

membersonlystore.com

Survey Savvy Review

Today I will review one of the better paid survey companies I have come across. Survey Savvy. I have been a member of Survey Savvy for a few months now and I only have good things to say about them. The surveys that are sent out are not too long or short, they are just long enough to hold your interest without being so long you just want to start clicking any answers to get thru the survey. My only complaint is when you start a new survey it opens in a new window instead of a new tab. Which really isn’t a big deal but I like to keep everything in tabs when using IE 7 or Firefox.

Survey Savvy delivers emails on a almost daily basis, they don’t send as many as a say Opinion Outpost but they they do send you a good amount. The amounts you are credited usually run from $1.00 to $5.00 each. Also something of note it is easier to qualify from Survey Savvy’s surveys than most other research companies, at least for me it is.

The user interface is clean and there is not much to do besides update your personal account information, see your referral link and look to check your account balance. Payments are sent via check to the address in your account information. See below:

Survey Savvy End User Interface

Oh lastly all of the surveys Survey Savvy sends out are for cash only. They are not for contest or drawings. IMO that is a great thing. Survey Savvy has overtaken Global Test Market as my 2nd favorite research company. See the link below to join.

How To Monetize Your Traffic A Newbie Primer

Establishing your own Web Business is not like what it used to be. There are thousands of web sites in competition that are all too willing to get a bigger share of the pie.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales or leads. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more likely chances you have of making a sale.

Generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a Pandora’s Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

So, to get to the core of it the more traffic you generate the more people will see your site, the more people that see your site the better chances of you getting a sale or lead. Basically traffic equals profit. Advertising is the name of the game; with the good advertising scheme on your web site you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.

When you have good traffic you have a good number of potential customers, customers that are willing to pour money into your coffers. Other than that these are also traffic that can be redirected to sponsored links that are willing to pay you for a sizeable portion of the traffic that you have generated.

This scheme is called “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that happens means more profits.

Affiliate Programs

Another method of monetizing your traffic are affiliate programs. You can link up with other tried and tested sites and online companies and monetize your traffic by having a percentage of sales generated by traffic coming from your site.

The basic idea is, traffic generated from your site will go to another site that can offer a product that you do not carry. Many programs can keep track and make records of transactions that was made possible because of site linkage.

When purchases are made by customers that was led by your site to their site you get a percentage of that sale. Affiliate programs would give you the benefit of monetizing your traffic without the actual need of carrying or promoting a certain product.

There are so many ways and methods to monetize your traffic. All it takes is a bit of hard work and the desire to successfully launch a profit-earning site. The internet is a veritable source of information, many tips and guides are offered everywhere in how to monetize your traffic and make your site a good profit earner

Results From My First Adwords Campaign

Well I put aside $25.00 to run a VERY small AdWords campaign (my first). The results were terrible. I will detail below but setting up the ads themselves was easy. I won’t use this post to go into how to set up ads, what makes a good ad, etc since I am no expert because it was my first run at it but I am comfortable enough now that when I run my next campaign this friday I will achieve a higher CTR and convert more of the clicks.

Well I spent $25.00 on adwords and ran 4 different campaign’s off of it. They were

1) ebook web site campaign 1 click 1,344 Impr. CTR .07%

2) trade magazines subscription campaign 23 clicks 9,146 Impr. CTR .25%

3) dental plans campaign 29 clicks 1,799 Impr.  CTR 1.61%

4) affiliate network referral campaign 5 clicks 1,541 Impr. CTR .04%

The Dental Plans campaign offered the highest payout and seemed the most promising and had a over 2% CTR for Search but yielded zero sales or leads. I bid  .51 per click for this campaign

I got zero leads or sales from any of the other campaign’s but the affiliate network campaign did yield one lead. That lead in the short term only got me .10 cents but that turns into a $1.00 once they get 20 clicks and when they start marketing I would get 5% of their lifetime earnings. I probably will not run that campaign again since it cost me .46 a click or I’d probably lower it to .20 a click or even .10 to break even.

I was disaapointed with the outcome  of the Dental Plans campaign, at $47.00 a lead I had $$$ dancing in my head. It got me the most clicks but none of them converted and that’s what it is all about. In all I think my next time around I will run the affiliate network campaign again but this time at a lower cost per click, I will re-run the Dental Plans one more time and pick 2 other programsto market scraping the ebook and free magazine campaign’s.

I do not think I will ever run the free trade magazine subscription campaign again and stick to just marketing it thru my blog. I need to read some blogs, ebooks, or forum post on how to best convert clicks into leads or sales. I seem to have a slight grasp on the actual writing of the ads, setting it up, etc etc but only one click out of all of them converted that’s not good at all.

adwords

Thoughts anyone?
