Learning Affiliate Marketing By Reading AND Doing

Well so far so good. Seems this blog is getting more popular with each week that passes by. I am still very much a newbie at this thing called affiliate marketing but I’m learning a whole lot. Reading is a great way to learn, I have a whole bunch of affiliate\Internet marketing related websites and blogs bookmarked between my desktop and main laptop and going back and reading old post along with current post is shortening my learning curve big time. But it seems like a even better way of learning is by actually rolling up your sleeves diving in, getting dirty and doing it.

I have been taking what i have read and trying to apply it, sometimes falling on my face sometimes see minor results, it’s those minor results which really are keeping me going. I have seen results from:

- Back link building: I am getting more traffic and my back links are building at a huge rate. As of today this blog is just about 3 months old and in the month of November I got just under 3000 visitors for the month (2800 and some change to be excat)

-Making money: I have been lucky to be able to sell some ad space here and it is bringing me in a very MINOR monthly income but it’s great if I can keep doing this and show potential advertisers value in buying ads on my site then I wouldn’t have to rely totally on affiliate marketing.

-Traffic: Like I said above traffic is steadily growing a decent rate. I haven’t surfed a traffic exchange in a few weeks so my numbers aren’t inflated too much buy that. Most of my traffic is coming from the back links I am getting and typed URL’s so the back links are serving a dual purpose. They are not only increasing page rank but they are getting me traffic.

Here is a screen capture of my traffic since I started the site in Mid-Oct.
