I have to ask you readers this question. If your running a ad. How many clicks does it normally take you before you see a sale or get a lead? I know this all depends on the ad campaign, where the traffic is coming from, what the offer is for, etc. But on average how many clicks is it taking you to convert? I ask this because I am running various ads on this site and in a few other places and I am finding that I am not converting.  I know many Internet Marketers say if your running CPa type offers you will get a 70-80% failure rate before finding something that works. Wow! That is really high IMO.

What are you guys doing to up your conversion rates? What’s working for you? What’s not working for you? One of the things I find that has been very helpful for me with CPa is to test offers with free traffic first to see how it converts and if I get some half decent results taking that same offer and using PPC with it. Free traffic from traffic exchanges tends to be poor in quality. Not all the time but mostly it is made up of Internet Marketers trying to get their product in front of buyers, they tend not to be actual buyers themselves.

I am not at my wits end yet but trying to promote CPa offers for lack of a better word is tough. It makes me wonder maybe my efforts would turn out better if I solely stuck with CPC. The upside of CPa is much higher than CPC but the basement for CPC is also not as low. As I stated before running some offers in traffic exchanges is a good way to start. I find that offers based around things like home based businesses, electronics and freebies work best in traffic exchanges.

If your using safe list the same type of offers work just as well minus things for electronics. I find offers with things like “Win a free Iphone” have no success with Safe List for some reason. If your going to use Safe List I suggest buying Solo Ads or where your ads are send to the members contact email address not the address they use to get a ton of Safe List offers. I say this for two reasons. 1) Your ads have a much better chance of getting read if it is not mixed in with 500 other safe list ads and 2) Solo ads sent to the contact address when read usually give the reader 4 to 5 times more credits than the “normal” Safe List ads, another reason why they will have a better chance of being read.
