There are two general groupings of SEO techniques, on-page factors and off-page factors. In this article we are going to be talking about the off-page factors, which relate to building backlinks to your site.

Getting a lot of quality backlinks should be a consistent part of your SEO efforts. As long as you build your links in a way that looks natural, the more links you build the better off you will be. It looks a lot more natural if you work on getting a handful of backlinks every week than if you suddenly got 10,000 backlinks overnight because you bought them from a link farm. Unnatural patterns are noticed by the search engines and they can penalize your website if they associate it with these practices.

There are many ways to get backlinks. You can develop relationships with other webmasters to exchange links from other related sites. Participate in forums related to your website and be sure to have a link to your site as part of your ‘signature’. Write articles for article directories which include a link back to your site in the ‘bio box’. Add links in Squidoo lenses or HubPages that you create about your topic. If you have a blog submit your RSS feed to RSS Aggregator sites, and add it to your Squidoo lens or HubPage. Now that you know where to get backlinks, the other important aspect is that, when possible, you use good anchor text for the backlnks you create. The anchor text is the text that turns into the hyperlink (it’s often blue, sometimes underlined). The search engines also use this text to figure out what your site, or page, is about. So where you can, specify what the anchor text will be. You want to use your main keywords, and variations on your main keywords. Try to vary it a little (that looks natural), while still keeping it relevant of course. Keep in mind that the keywords you use when you are linking to a specific page are not necessarily going to be the same as when you are linking to your homepage.

Sometimes it is not an option for you to specify the anchor text. But it is important to take advantage of the opportunity to when you can specify it. If you exchange links with another site, specify what you want your anchor text to be. The other webmaster will probably appreciate it because it saves them time having to decide what it should be. You will have total control over the anchor text when you create Squidoo lenses, HubPages, in article bio sections, and your forum signatures. Use it wisely.

1– Make sure you’ve configured everything properly. 4– Promote that content – once you’ve got a nice stock of content up start promoting your blog.  Consider using your posts on article sites, exchanges and more – you’ll get more traffic if you diversify, so remember to add your site to bookmarking sites – and, encourage your readers to do so too.

blogging, ultimately, is about connecting with readers and will give you a reader base to discuss your work with – but it will also allow you to express yourself, make friends, and spread your expertise over the web.  But most of all, blogging is enjoyable, so always keep it that way, and have fun!

I have been using twitter for awhile now and Ihave built up a pretty nice follwing (thanks guys ) but I could not for the life of me figure out a way to make money using this great web 2.0 tool. (you can follow me at https://twitter.com/kflo01). Anyhow I came across twtAd.com and I am pretty damn impressed.

I won’t get into what twitter is and how it should or could be used. We’ll skip that. I think most people reading this post already how those things so we will get into what twtAds is how to best use it.  TwtAds alsos you to post ads in your tweets than are paid out on a CPC basis. So whenever you post a tweet using this tool and someone clicks on the link you get paid. Sweet right? I know allot of us post affiliate links and CPA links in our tweets but those require a action in order to be paid. With twtAds there is no action. You get paid whenever the ad is clicked. The reader does not have to do anything else.

Just a word to the wise. Only post ads that are in line to who your followers are. Don’t post weight loss ads to pie eating followers, lol. Outside of that you can only post a ad once every 12 hours. So you would just login to your account each morning find the ad you’d like to post and fire away. You are allowed to tie more than one twitter account to your twtAds account. So if you have more than one account you can post once to each in one sitting. I would give this a shot if you want a smiple and fool prove way to monitize your tweets. One thing I would do it wait until you have at least 200 followers. I would say at least 500 followers to be safe before using this site. You can sign up below.
